Monthly Cost is based on compressed
server disk space usage. For example, if your computer has 5GB of data,
you can expect to use about 3GB of server disk space after compression.
(Compression ratio will vary due to file types)
Exchange Server - Mailbox Level Backup - One Time License Fee $35 per
mailbox
Estimated fee’s prepaid quarterly and adjusted for actual usage
monthly. Service will renew quarterly to avoid an interruption of service
unless written notice to discontinue service is received a minimum of
10 days prior to renewal date. Free trial limited to 500MB of disk space.

Secure Password / Encryption Key
During installation you will be asked to create a password (Encryption
Key) for the protection of your data. This password is very important,
as it is the only way your data can be unlocked in case you need to restore
your files. It is critical to be aware that you will be the ONLY one who
has this password. Keep it in a secure location.
This password is required to restore data. Your data
will be unusable without this password.

Backup software and open file agents could cost thousands per server, but is included free with every account.
Backing up the first time
After you have decided on what files you want to protect, the software
will then compress them to maximize disk space and reduce cost. Once the
compression process is completed, it is then encrypted using the same
standard of security most banks use for online transactions. It can not
be read by anyone except you. The encrypted data is then sent over the
Internet to our offsite data storage facilities where your data will stay
encrypted. Even Certified Data Backup can not “unlock” your
data. Keep your encryption key in a secure location. Your data can not
be unlocked without it.
The first backup takes the longest time to complete and may take a full
day or more to finish. For initial backups larger than 5GB a portable
storage device will be used to obtain the first backup. Ongoing backups
will be conducted via the internet as normal.
Ongoing backups
With CDB software, you can set the day and time when you would like the
files to be backed up automatically. Each time a backup starts, the software
will check for any changes/updates to the designated files on the computer
and backup only the changes that were made during the last backup schedule.
Using advanced delta technology only the changes within a file are transmitted.
By transmitting only these changes, network traffic is kept to a minimum.
Be sure the computers to be backed up are powered on and connected to
the internet at the time the backup is to be executed.
Reports
Detailed reports are available via email, client manager or web portal.
These reports include various data points such as results of each backup,
amount of data stored offsite and more. These reports are available 24
/ 7
Recovery options
Individual files can be restored using our simple and easy to use online
web interface. In the event of a major data loss or site disaster, you
can immediately transport your backup data to the original computer or
a new location.. All you have to do is point and click on the files you
want to restore and they will be restored instantly to the location you
specify. Large amounts of data can also be copied to DVD or External storage
device and delivered overnight.* Data is always encrypted and password
protected so even if someone else gains access to your DVD, they won't
be able to decrypt the data.
